What are we about? We're about improving ourselves through yoga. It's that simple. Practicing yoga has many benefits both physically and mentally--benefits which have been recognized by everyone from spry professional athletes to great-grandparents. By leading yoga sessions, we get to better understand yoga and our practice of it while sharing our knowledge and experience with others also interested in yoga and its benefits.
Tara B - Yoga Instructor - Vinyasa Yoga
Tara has practiced yoga for over nine years and received her 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga certification through the Joschi Yoga Institute, a Yoga Alliance Registered school.
Her experience in a variety of martial arts, including Judo, Brazlian Jiu Jitsu, American Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai, has helped her create a powerful, alignment-oriented, vinyasa yoga flow. She stresses the importance of developing flexibility, balance, and breath work for martial artists to improve their techniques but has also found this to be beneficial to anyone living an active lifestyle.
Her yoga fusion classes are both playful and explorative, which assures that they regualrly contain new and interesting material, keeping it fresh, and feedback from students is always welcome and encouraged. This makes for an atmosphere of commeraderie and is often felt to be a great escape from the competitiveness of life in New York.
