Strength & Conditioning

Our strength and conditioning classes are open to people of all fitness levels. Whether you are training for health reasons or are preparing to compete, our Strength and Conditioning program has the potential to take you to the next level. These classes will take you through drills, including those utilizing body weight, dexterity, and weight training. As your fitness level increases, our class format will adapt to your improved abilities. Unlike training on your own, your instructor and classmates will provide continuous support to keep you motivated, ensuring you will not quit.

Andrew Rivera - Strength & Conditioning Coach

Andrew Rivera

Andrew F. Rivera is our Strength and Conditioning Coach as well as one of our Muay Thai instructors. Andrew began his study of Martial Arts at a young age, competing in Karate tournaments for years before discovering Muay Thai. He had the opportunity to learn from great instructors such as: Phil Nurse, Aaron “the ghost” Fisher, Coban, and Dorian Price. While still an active fighter, Andrew has found a passion for passing on his knowledge of this art. In addition, he is a certified fitness professional through the International Sports Sciences Association and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Among his specialties are performance enhancement, fat loss, metabolic conditioning, and strength training. Andrew is excited to be an instructor at NYJJ and looks forward to helping both the Muay Thai and S & C programs grow to new heights.
